Life sings in our silences,
and dreams in our slumber.
Even when we are beaten and low,
Life is enthroned and high.
And when we weep,
Life smiles upon the day,
and is free even when we drag our chains.
Oftentimes we call Life bitter names,
but only when we ourselves are bitter and dark.
And we deem her empty and unprofitable,
but only when the soul goes wandering in desolate places,
and the heart is drunken with overmindfulness of self.
(Kahlil Gibran)
Am I balanced?
This may seem like an odd question but it is probably worth
considering.
Many people live their whole adult life without really feeling good and
healthy.

Unbalanced is the norm
Do you sleep well?
Are you clumsy?
Is your life hurried and rushed?
Do you have time for yourself?
Is your back aching or stiff, especially around the base of the neck and the
shoulders?
Are your moods erratic?
Do you get headaches a lot?
People come to accept the lack of balance in their lives and do not imagine
that there can be another way.
The same day
If you think about it, you live the same day over and over again.
You sleep, you work, you eat...
There may be variations but the pattern is pretty well fixed day after day
after day.
Daily patterns can either be healthy and positive or they can slowly wear
you down.
People pine for weekends and holidays in the hope of breaking the cycle.
Yet, holidays end and weekends don't last long...
Running away is not the answer because you are carrying the problems with
you.
Balancing your life
Creating balanced habits is not too difficult; the key is to act without
forcing anything.
If you really want to change something in your life, you will.
