The dream was always
running ahead of me.
To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle.

TV, movies & books
Most people are stimulated by stories in some fashion.
TV, movies and books offer a variety of narratives that engage the imagination.
It is easy to become lost in other peoples stories and adventures.
The danger with these escapist stories is that we can become so caught up in
fiction that we fail to live.
It is easy to sit back and watch somebody else undertake an arduous journey and
learn new lessons.
Unfortunately, this is a passive activity.
Fiction
Fiction is a good source of inspiration.
Fantasies and imaginative material written by other people can prompt new ideas
and stimulate creativity within each of us.
The main thing is to act upon the idea.
If you are stimulated, if you fancy doing something - act.
Failure to act is a form of impotence.
The dithering hesitation of uncertainty will freeze you in place, whilst the
inspiration slowly fades and life continues unchanged.
The burning passion of the moment will shrivel to regret.
Women's fiction
Men are often inconsiderate when it comes to relationships. It can be useful to
read books written by women rather than men.
Angela Carter, Nancy Friday and Jeanette Winterson are three example authors.

Making it real
Sexual adventures are the easiest of all to have - you just
need a partner and a willingness to explore.
Instead of watching other people have fun, why not create your own stories?
Why not live your own adventure?
If you see something that makes you sexually aroused, discuss
it with your partner.
They may well be receptive and enjoy exploring it with you.
Should this prove awkward, try writing it down. Imagine that you are writing a movie script, with situations
and events.
How are the characters dressed?
What is their mood?
Consider the nature of their relationship?
This kind of play is a great way to get to know your partner better and arouse
the imagination.
Even the outline of a story can be enough to start the process
of living rather than just watching.
The important thing is the release of creativity, of passion.
Living
Stories are a way of stimulating creativity, but why not go further?
What about your life?
Nothing is better than a life well lived.
Life is not a spectator sport, it is about participating - you can actually
do things; for real.
What journeys are you undertaking?
We do not need to travel the world to discover new experiences - the Tao Te
Ching teaches that the greatest mysteries lie within ourselves.
Why settle for what you see on TV, in movies and books - when you can have
adventures yourself?
Be daring.
