Self Defence

There is no greater gift than good health.
Take care of it.

(Buddha)

Active body

The body will eventually be capable of less and less activity.

It is important to do what you can.
If you avoid exercising your body, it will become harder and harder for you to exercise.
Habits are easily formed and difficult to break.

Tai chi is a good choice

Tai chi can be performed by most people, irrespective of health.
If your mobility is limited, it can be practiced whilst sitting.
Even a few minutes every day will do something to improve your wellbeing.

Active mind

Keeping the mind alert is fairly easy.
Reading books or listening to audio books can provide a source of stimulus.
There are several audio versions of Tao Te Ching available.

The main thing is to be receptive to new ideas, to allow change to enter your thoughts and your life.
By embracing change, your brain itself will remain flexible.
