Self Defence

The notes I handle no better than many pianists.
But the pauses between the notes - ah, that is where the art resides.

(Artur Schnabel)

Training to music

People sometimes ask for training music suggestions.
Our answer is simple: it is better to train
without musical accompaniment.

However, if your practice area is not
quiet - music can provide a relaxing background noise.

You decide

You may want to train in silence or you may like Chinese rhythms.
You may prefer Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals. Or you may like more mellow tunes.

Go with what works for you. There is no standard.

Chinese music

Some
movie soundtracks have peaceful music:

  1. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

  2. Hero

  3. House of Flying Daggers

  4. Curse of the Golden Flower

  5. Akira

  6. Fearless

There are undoubtedly many more...
