Self Defence

Ingredients

The ingredients are fairly easy to obtain:

  1. 5 teaspoons sunflower oil

  2. 150g onions

  3. 3 garlic cloves, chopped

  4. 300g potatoes, chopped

  5. 250ml hot water

  6. 100g white cabbage

  7. 400g tomatoes, chopped

  8. 1 tablespoon paprika

  9. 1 teaspoon ground coriander

  10. Tabasco

  11. ½ tablespoon chilli powder

  12. 400ml coconut milk

  13. red pepper/capsicum, chopped

  14. yellow pepper/capsicum, chopped

Step 1

Heat oil and add onion, garlic, potato and cabbage. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.


Step 2

Add paprika, coriander, Tabasco, chilli powder and tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes.


Step 3

Add the coconut milk and continue simmering.
 


Step 4


Heat red and yellow capsicums in oil until slightly charred. Add to soup
.
